UPDATE: Masterworks Four has been rescheduled from Saturday, April 4, 2026, to Saturday, March 28, 2026, due to logistical reasons. Experience the power of music from across generations as the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the talented musicians of the Lubbock Youth Orchestras in a thrilling side-by-side performance. The program begins with Florence Price’s Symphony No. 1, a groundbreaking work blending lush orchestration with the rich melodies of African American spirituals. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” follows with nostalgic themes of American folk music.
