Tchaikovsky | Symphony No. 6 "Pathétique" |
Guest Conductor Daniel Myssyk leads the LSO alongside a solo performance by Andrew Staupe of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor. Adding to the concert, American composer Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral is performed for the first time by the LSO. Lastly, the emotional melodies of Tchaikovsky are exemplified in his Symphony No. 6, Pathétique, also considered a last statement before his death. This final symphony stands alone among others and is nothing short of a special performance.
