Lubbock Symphony Orchestra's Education Department is dedicated to:

• Providing programming that is age-appropriate and educationally-targeted to the audience
• Recruiting and training musicians to provide in schools expanded numbers of ensemble performances, including string quartet, brass quintet and woodwind quintet
• Using the LSO website to educate and inform
• Performing additional community outreach programs
• Collaborating to perform and educate with other community arts organizations
• Identifying and performing additional adult education programs
• Promoting and expanding awareness and parental support of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra
• Increasing the number of students participating in the LYSO program
