Teaching Artists Program

With funding from the Helen Jones Foundation, the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra has embarked on a program introducing musicians as teaching artists into the elementary classroom setting in collaboration with elementary school teachers. This collaboration addresses core curriculum classroom subjects and integrates elements of music as a way of learning to elementary students.

Designed to further the arts in public schools, the Teaching Artists Program also enhances learning for students in all subjects.

The Teaching Artists Program is made possible through the cooperation and support of Fine Arts Director, Robert Rumph, and LISD.
