FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
It is the desire of the LYSO Program that no student be denied participation in the program due to financial need. Therefore, each season, grant applications are made for scholarship funding from local foundations. There is no guarantee of annual funding. However, there is usually, a limited amount of financial aid available for tuition and fees. Any student needing assistance should return the financial aid application form by the designated deadline. The committee will meet in August to review all requests and will notify the student of their decision by mid August. If the Financial Aid forms have not been returned by the deadline listed on the form, your request will not be considered.
-
A LYSO member approved for financial aid WILL RECEIVE a MINIMUM of $75.00.
-
If a student is not approved for financial aid, the family is responsible for any unpaid balance. If the balance is not paid by set deadlines, the student will not be allowed to participate in the program until the balance is paid.
FUNDRAISING
-
Fundraising is a very important part of the continuation of the LYSO Program. It is our desire to have no more than 2 fundraisers per year provided we raise adequate funding.
-
All members are expected to participate in fundraising efforts unless you choose to opt out of fundraising.
-
If you prefer not to participate in fundraising, you may do so by signing the form (on the lower section of the Membership Information Form) and sending a payment of $150. This fee is in addition to the tuition and MUST be included with the form. If you sign and return the form, you will not be asked to participate in any fundraisers. Payment must accompany the form.
ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISERS
Each year the officers of the LYSO Program work with the LYSO staff to research and present various opportunities to support the program. These fundraising opportunities will be outlined during the first LYSO Parent meeting in August.
