  • THIS RETREAT IS NOT CONSIDERED OPTIONAL and is incredibly important to the success of the musician as well as the LYSO Program during the current season.
  • ANY MEMBER WITH PROBLEMS SURROUNDING THE RETREAT MUST HAVE THEIR PARENTS SUBMIT IN WRITING, NO LATER THAN AUGUST 15TH, ANY CONFLICTS TO THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR.

July 4th Performance and LYSO Tours/Festival Opportunities

  • LYSO tours and/or festivals, as well as the 4th On Broadway Fireworks Concert, are considered to be an integral part of the Symphony Orchestra season; all students are needed.  On occasion some woodwinds, brass and percussionist from the Philharmonic Orchestra may be asked to perform on the 4th on Broadway Fireworks Concert. All families are expected to cooperate, as fully as possible, to make these events successful for the LYSO Program and their young musician.
  • PARENTSPLEASE REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR ORCHESTRA MEMBER TO THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION – EVERYONE IS NEEDED!
  • The July 4th on Broadway Fireworks Concert is THE opportunity of each season to reach over 60,000 people; it is enormously important.
