Rising Stars Program

Focusing on Youth in Arts...
The Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra offers musical enrichment opportunities for students in Lubbock and the surrounding areas. Represented in the program are 38 schools from 13 different school districts within a 150-mile radius. The LYSO Program has approximately 200 members, ages 6 to 18.

Providing Assistance to Students...
It is the desire of the LYSO Program to provide financial assistance to any student in need that desires to pursue the art of music by underwriting tuition and lesson costs. The LYSO Program enables young musicians to improve their musical abilities, meet other talented musicians and enhances their school music programs.

Your support is appreciated...
Sponsors can make a difference for these young musicians. A gift of $300 covers a full season's tuition OR private lesson scholarship. Financial Aid is based on need, depending on the needs of each family. Your donation may be used to help more than one student.
