New York Voices have brought a new edge to the Boston Pops Orchestra. They have toured the U.S. performing a program that highlights everything from Big Band Swing to Baby Boomer favorites like the Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, The Mamas and the Papas and the Carpenters. In the process of recording a New York Voices studio CD, the group went back to its roots: a Brazilian tune next to a swing tune, while sprinkling their original compositions throughout.

Kim Nazarian, Peter Eldridge, Darmon Meader and Lauren Kinhan make up the talented quartet known as New York Voices. These four have traveled the globe with their elegant music, amazing audiences the world over with their impeccable voices and stunning arrangements.  Along with their extensive concert performances and recording dates, NYV also works in the field of education, giving workshops and clinics to high school and college music students.  Individually, the four members are involved in a variety of projects including solo performances and recordings, teaching, writing and arranging.  The group hopes to continue to explore all styles of music and expand their audience for years to come.

Tomasz Golka, conductor, has appeared in performances of over 100 major works with such orchestras as the Seattle, Fort Worth,  Louisville, Spoleto USA, Charleston, Lansing, and Florida West Coast symphony orchestras. He has also appeared with Buffalo Philharmonic, where he replaced the ailing scheduled conductor on just a few hours notice and led the orchestra in an enthusiastically received performance. Golka is currently in his first year as Music Director of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin from Rice University, where he was a violin student of Kenneth Goldsmith and Sergiu Luca. He was a conducting fellow at the Aspen Music Festival in 2002 and has conducted in Master Classes for such distinguished conductors as Yuri Temirkanov and David Zinman.
