Lubbock Symphony Orchestra's Education Department is dedicated to:
- Providing programming that is age-appropriate and educationally-targeted to the audience
- Recruiting and training musicians to provide expanded numbers of ensembles and string quartet performances in schools
- Using the LSO Web site to educate and inform
- Performing additional community outreach programs
- Collaborating to perform and educate with other community arts organizations
- Identifying and performing additional adult education programs
- Promoting and expanding awareness and parental support of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra
- Increasing the number of students participating in the LYSO program
